Razor Cut Bob Hairstyles That’ll Make You Want to Chop It All Off

by Nisha Desai

I’ve been really into razor cut bobs lately. I just love the edgy look they have and I adore doing this style haircuts for my clients.

Had to show you some looks I love and that are trendy now. Razor cutting makes hair have texture and it moves really nice, plus it can work on most of the hair types.

If you want edgy or you want classic, there’s a razor cut bob that works. Here 25 of my faves:

Razor cut bob with airy, piecey ends

This one perfect if your scared to go short. The razor makes the ends real soft and feathery. They float around your face instead of looking heavy. Don’t need much styling which is good cause I’m always running late in the mornings.

Choppy bob with tousled texture and lift

If your hair needs volume this is my favorite way to add it. Choppy layers makes it look like you have more hair. The messy texture look like you tried hard even when you didn’t try at all! I just scrunch some spray in when its wet and let it dry.

Razor cut micro bob with side fringe

This is for girls who want to go short or look different. Micro bob sits above your chin. Side fringe makes it less flat looking and softer, it’s really modern and cool but you gotta get it cut a lot to keep the shape.

Choppy angled bob with longer front

Everyone asks for this one at the salon lately if they want to go short but with a twist. Angle makes your neck look longer and the choppy part keeps it from looking boring, the long pieces in front frames your face really nice depending where they go.

Razor cut wavy bob with beachy bend

If you got wavy hair or you’re good with a curling thing this one’s amazing. Razor cutting makes your waves look better and gives them some volume. You get stylish tousled waves that look like you been at the beach! Sea salt spray work really good with this.

Choppy blunt bob with shattered edges

You start with the strong blunt line but make the edges all textured, piecey and soft. Its edgy but not too much. The bottom still has weight but texture make it more cool and less like your basic bob haircut.

Razor cut bob with curtain bangs

Curtain bangs is still popular and looks so good with razor cut bobs. Bangs parts in the middle and goes on both sides of your face, when everything cut with a razor it all flows together real nice and looks good on most faces.

Chin length blonde razor cut bob with root shadow

Root shadow is still a thing and it look amazing with chin length blonde hair. You get color that easier to take care of. The razor cut makes blonde hair look even better cause the ends catch light different and make the color pop more.

Razor cut angled bob with long side bangs

This gives me 2000s vibes but good ones! Long side bangs sweeps across and blends with the long front parts. It looks fancy (or…a little bit emo?) but still got that chic texture from the razor.

Choppy chin length bob with side part

Sometimes easy is best right. A regular bob gets way more interesting when you add choppy layers and do a deep side part, side parts is coming back and looks grown up with this cut.

Razor cut sleek bob with feathered hem

If you have straight/smooth hair and want to maintain that smooth look, you can still get razor cutting just on the bottom. You get pretty feathered ends that moves when you turn your head. The rest stays shiny and smooth, its a less obvious way to get texture.

Choppy stacked bob with nape lift

Stacked bobs are cool again. The back is shorter and stacked which makes lots of volume at your neck, add choppy texture and you got a bob with attitude but you need trims alot to keep it looking good.

Razor cut curly bob with defined coils

Curly hair girls listen up! Razor cutting works on curly hair if done right, it takes away extra hair without messing up your curls. You get beautiful curls that bounce and move more but make sure your stylist knows curly hair.

Choppy lob with sliced layers

The lob is still really popular. Adding sliced choppy layers makes it feel lighter and more now, its long enough for a ponytail but short enough to feel new.

Chin length sandy blonde with bangs

Sandy blonde is so pretty on this razored bob. It looks beautiful on chin length with bangs, the color goes with everything and bangs adds personality, this is a easy style that works for lots of people.

Choppy bob with wispy bangs

Wispy bangs isn’t for everyone (depends on face shape, hair texture, etc) but they can look super cool with choppy bobs. Wispy texture keeps them from looking to harsh, you need confidence for this but when you got it its really pretty.

Shaggy razor cut bob

Shag cuts are totally back! A shaggy razor cut bob has layers everywhere, its messy and textured and cool without trying. This works great if you got medium or thick hair and want something that looks a little messy on purpose like 70s rockstars.

Subtle angled bob with texture

Not everyone want big angles. A small angle with textured ends give you some shape without being too much, its perfect if you want professional but not boring hair.

Asymmetrical bob with side swept bangs

Asymmetrical cuts are fun because they’re different and frame your face in a fun way. One side is longer than the other and when you add side-swept bangs the whole thing looks really interesting.

Choppy bob with blonde highlights

Highlights make choppy bobs look so good. Different colors catch the light and make the texture show even more! I love doing some highlights on bobs to really highlight the length or texture/layers.

Razor cut black French bob with subtle wave

French bobs are a classic and when you do it on black hair with razor cut it’s a perfect mesh of style and edginess. Add a little wave and you got this really nice Paris vibe, black hair shows the cut so well.

Choppy chin length bob with grown out bangs

Sometimes the best look happens by accident. Grown out bangs with choppy bob feels cool and easy like your too busy to worry about perfect hair, the longer bangs blends with the rest and frames your face nice.

Short razor cut bob with piecey bangs

A short bob like ear length with piecey bangs makes a statement. Razor cutting keep everything soft and feathery even though its pretty short, the piecey bangs adds edge without being mean looking.

Edgy bob with uneven edges and peekaboo color

If you want to stand out get uneven edges and put color underneath. The jagged hem looks interesting and hidden color is a fun surprise when you move or put hair behind your ear, its edgy but not too crazy.

Tapered razor cut bob with face framing pieces

This probably my favorite one right now. The bob tapered so its shorter in back and longer in front. The razor cut makes amazing pieces around your face, you get lift and movement and its really pretty cause the front pieces makes your cheekbones look good.
