There is something about the combination of pink and purple. It’s that unicorn hair color combo that’s both girly and edgy at the same time. Both colors complement one another so well, and with the right hair coloring technique, there’s literally no end to how many different looks you can create with these colors.
If you’re a fan of pink and purple hair ideas like me, stick around, because I’m sharing the best techniques and trendiest looks right below!
1. Classic Pink to Purple Ombre

This colorful hairstyle is just absolutely perfect if you’re not new to color and want something bold. Pink goes into purple in a real smooth ombre effect and looks strikingly good on any long hair. This style makes for a stunning ponytail, too.
2. Vibrant Magenta with Muted Violet Lowlights

I love this one so much! The shades are different and can shift depending on light. The magenta is really bright but the violet parts make it look more muted/ give it depth. It’s bold and focused on the pink, with purple being the ‘supporting color’, if you will.
3. Dusty Rose and Muted Purple Ribbons

You’re not sold on full neon color? This hair color might just be for you. Dusty rose is so soft, purple ribbons in it make it look even more fun and interesting, but in a muted/dusty kind of way, which is more mysterious and really pretty.
4. Pastel Split Dye on a Bob

Split hair is so cool now, and you can have different colors on your hair if you cannot decide between two. One side pink one side purple, or split the hair 4 ways if you want (a bit like on this bob)! Fun and makes you look like you’re from a cartoon (in the most beautiful way).
5. Orchid Highlights on Smoky Mauve Hair

The pastels are one of my fave hair colors, and this look doesn’t get enough love! Smoky mauve looks fancy then the orchid highlights pop out. I think this pastel unicorn hair look is good if you want something soft and ethereal-looking.
6. Neon Fuchsia and Purple Melt

This hair color is for girls who are extra bold. Neon fuchsia going into purple is super bright and almost holographic looking. The trick is to do ombre multiple times so it looks like the hair is shifting color based on light, btu it’s actually just a claver coloring technique! Everyone will look at you and I mean everyone.
7. Lavender Haze with Blush Face-Framing Pieces

The lavender color is like a dream on this hairstyle, and especially when you put your hair up into side ponytails! Blush pink around your face makes everything look brighter and prettier on you. You’ll look like a cosplay princess.
8. Pink to Amethyst Ombre

Kind of like ombre but this got more purple on the lengths and at the bottom that’s real rich, and then pink is concentrated on the roots and around the crown, creating an effect as if pink is your natural hair color that’s growing out. The amethyst part is really pretty, and almost juicy-looking.
9. Soft Peach-Pink with Periwinkle Tips

Two pastel colors – one as a base, one on the ends only – you may not think this would work, but it totally does! Peach pink is warm, then periwinkle tips are cool, and it’s a soft pastel surprise that looks unexpected and cool.
10. Metallic Rose with Ultraviolet Sheen

This hair color looks like the future (to me, at least). Metallic rose shade is cool-toned and shiny and ultraviolet around crown and ends makes it look almost like a hologram when light hits it, and I think that’s just the coolest thing ever.
11. Bubblegum Streaks Through Lavender Waves

Ah, pastels again. I just can’t get enough of them. Lavender waves are already pretty. But bubblegum pink in them? So good and if you got wavy hair this somehow looks even softer, which works perfectly.
12. Violet Roots with Rosy Ends on a Lob

Lobs are always cute, especially with a pop of fun color. These shades make it even better because violet starts at your roots making your hairstyle almost look futuristic, and then goes to pastel pink at the ends. Super cool and just a tad edgy.
13. Pink Lemonade Curls with Lilac Ribbons

Curly hair girls, this pastel hairstyle is for you. Pink lemonade is fun and soft, and those lilac ribbons make your curls look even more fun! The shades combine together so perfectly.
14. Mauve Melt on Wavy Lob with Cool Finish

More subtle but still soooo so pretty. Mauve melts smooth and the cool finish looks elegant, good if you want pink and purple but not too loud.
15. Pastel Pink-Purple with Peekaboo Neon Color

You get both things! Pastel on top and lengths is soft and cutesy, then when you move your hair there’s neon purple under it, which is like your bold little secret. Those ponytails will look amazing, trust me.
16. Eggplant Panels Under Hot Pink Layers

This is a really cool and modern hairstyle – deep purple panels show through hot pink layers, and it looks so different from all sides. Great on both long and mid length hair!
17. Lilac Base with Pastel Pink Balayage

Balayage always look natural right. This got lilac all over with pink painted in, and it kind of looks effortless (but we know there was actually a lot of effort going into it). Very princess-y.
18. Cotton-Candy Base with Lilac Sheen

It literally looks like candy! Cotton candy pink with lilac over it makes it look less flat, it’s sweet and fun.
19. Bold Pink and Purple Streaks

Can’t pick between pink or purple? Well why not get both in big streaks – it makes a statement, and creates lots of movement/depth in your hair. Just stunning.
20. Muted Purple Balayage with Pink Ribbons

Another balayage but different! Purple is painted through with pink ribbons that add a bit of brightness and uplifts the whole look. Between subtle and bold, I think. The perfect balance.
21. Pastel Unicorn Hair

Yeah I know everyone does unicorn hair differently, but this really does look magic to me. Soft pink, purple and everything mixed together, get ready for amazing photos!
22. Electric Purple Base with Fuchsia Top Layer

Electric purple is already bold, and then add fuchsia on top – even more bold, for when one vivid color is just not enough! This combo is so bright and saturated – absolute winner if you really want people to notice you wherever you go.
23. Strawberry Milk Hue with Grape Shadow Root

So cute! Strawberry milk pink is soft, grape at the roots makes it look more deep, and dimensional. High emphasis on the pink shade, but with a fun twist.
24. Muted Pink Ends and Purple Money Pieces

You could keep some your natural hair color with this hairstyle, just coloring the ends and adding some face-framing purple highlights. Money pieces never looked so edgy. A good way to try color but still keep some of your natural hair color.
25. Watercolor Blend of Blush, Orchid, and Plum

It’s almost like art! Watercolor shades blush orchid and plum blends softly like someone painted it carefully, and every side of you shows different colors.
26. Cotton Candy Pink to Purple Ombre

Another ombre, this one’s really fun and with both colors making an appearance on the fringe. Cotton candy pink into purple is dreamy and soft-looking, like your own personal fairytale. Cute!
27. Pink and Purple Chunky Highlights

Chunky highlights are back. Thick pink and purple pieces in your hair make it look really big and dimensional, fun, and reminds me of the y2k for some reason!
28. Pastel Pink Balayage with Purple Undertones

Pastel pink balayage is pretty by itself, but purple under it is a cool twist. Subtle but makes your hair look way more dimensional.
29. Light Pink to Purple Orchid Ombre on a Bob with Bangs

Bobs with bangs are popular now, and this color makes it even better. Light pink into purple orchid is pretty, and bangs frame your face real nice!
30. Soft Pastel Pink Curls with a Hint of Lilac

These soft pink curls with a little lilac in them are romantic. Colors are subtle so it almost looks natural but you can tell it’s pink and a tiny bit purple still.
