Ginger hair is hot right now! I have been a stylist for twelve years and i am seeing it everywhere. All over social media (instagram) there are pictures of copper toned hair. Clients bring me inspiration photos of red hair. Honestly, i love this because ginger colors are gorgeous!
What people do not realize about ginger hair is that it does not come in one color! You can have super bright orange/copper or you can have soft strawberry blonde. There are a million shades in between. I wanted to show you 20+ of my personal favorites of ginger hair. They range from bold to subtle, let’s get started!
1. Classic auburn elegance

I love this color because it is so deep and rich! It has a lot of copper in it. The best part of this color is it looks very natural! You can see the back and how shiny it is. I also love that it is long and straight because it showcases the color perfectly. If you want to do ginger hair but do not want anything too bright then this is perfect for you.
2. Electric Copper Vibes

This one is very bright! Bright copper/orange. When you walk down the street people will stare at you. The straight hair makes it look modern. Pictures of this color always look amazing! But, you need to use a special shampoo to keep this color from fading fast. Trust me on that!
3. Vibrant side part copper

The exact same bright copper/orange color as above. But it is a side part! I personally think side parts are better than center parts most of the time. It makes your face look nice. Also, when your hair is straight it makes the color look super shiny and intense. You will get noticed when you walk into any room with this color!
4. Beachy copper waves

Now take that bright copper/orange and add waves! Now it is more relaxed looking. Waves allow the light to hit different parts of your hair. The color appears to have more depth. It’s beachy but still ginger… You know what i mean?!
5. Copper goddess with curtain bangs

Wow! That ginger-copper is amazing! And those side bangs frame your face nice. Long wavery hair will move around a lot. And those side bangs will make it not look too heavy. This combo is one of my favorites… For sure!
6. Vibrant orange dream

This one is more orange than copper. It is super long and super straight. It looks so polished and on purpose. Warning! If you are currently using dark hair dye, you probably have to bleach your hair first! It takes commitment! But the color is worth it… So pretty!
7. Natural auburn balayage perfection

Balayage is my favorite way to color hair! This auburn-copper is amazing! You can see the hand painted parts on the Wavy hair. Looks expensive! Also, balayage doesn’t need to be touched up much at all… People like that!
8. Golden copper length

When you put copper and gold together it creates a warm color. Makes me think of sunshine. Long wavery hair with a side part looks romantic. Highlights keep it from looking flat. You get warmth without full red color… Which some people want!
9. Subtle Copper Brown

The side view showcases how natural this color is. It is a mix of copper and brown. Not as loud as the bright ones. Still has that ginger/warmth though. Straight and long keeps it simple.
10. Golden Balayage Warmth

Another balayage! But this time its copper and gold all through it. Wavy hair makes it look easy and natural. The way the color is placed matters a lot. Gives you ginger vibes without one solid color… Some people like that better.
11. Blonde-Copper Ombre Fusion

This is interesting because its copper melting into blonde. It has bangs too… Frames everything. Wavy texture makes it soft and pretty. Cant choose between red and blonde?! Just do both together!
12. Copper to Blonde Ombre Ends

Ombre is coming back i think! Copper on top, blonde on bottom. Fades between them. Wavy hair showcases the fade really well. If you want to try ginger but don’t want to do the whole head… Try ombre! Also, you’ll get better root grow out with ombre.
13. Sun-kissed copper

Cooper and gold highlights everywhere in the Wavy hair. So pretty and dimensional. It’s like sunshine as a hair color kind of?! Highlights stop it from looking boring. Makes the whole color richer.
14. Layered copper ombre

Cooper fades to golden blonde with layers cut in. There is a lot of movement happening. The waves and layers and color change all work together. If you have thick hair then this could be good for you because layers help with that.
15. Copper waves from behind

Looking at this from the back showcases the copper-orange on Wavy hair. People see you from behind more than you know! Waves give it texture. The color is just so rich and vibrant looking.
16. Deep Red Copper

This deep copper has red in it. Very dramatic in a good way. Long and Wavy keeps it pretty and feminine. The color is just so intense! For someone ready to be a full redhead. Bold but gorgeous.
17. Strawberry Copper Blend

Light copper mixed with strawberry blonde. Center part. Soft and pretty looking. Way easier to wear every day than the bright ones. Long straight hair looks clean. The color is natural and just so pretty.
18. Soft strawberry copper

Same vibe but straight hair makes the light copper-strawberry more obvious. Almost looks peachy sometimes. That’s unique i think. Good if you want ginger but don’t want super red looking.
19. Natural Ginger Beauty

This natural auuburn-copper on Wavy hair is real ginger color. Like actual redhead color. The Classic kind. Wavy adds texture but the color is the main thing. Just timeless and beautiful.
20. True ginger boho hair

Another natural ginger-copper that might be a little brighter? Long voluminous hair looks pretty with this real red tone. This is basically what natural red hair looks like. Warm, vibrant, totally gorgeous.
21. Rich Auburn Straight

Rich auubrn-copper looks so fancy. Long straight hair makes it shine more. The color looks extra intense because of that. Sophisticated and timeless. You can wear this anywhere and it works!
22. Strawberry Blonde Copper

Strawberry blonde with copper tones. Subtle way to do ginger. Long and straight looks polished. Warm but not in your face. Most likely the low key option if you are scared to go too bold.
23. Styled strawberry copper

Last one… Strawberry blonde with copper on long wavery hair. Waves make it look easy and beachy. The color is pretty and easy to wear. Great way to end with this color… Showcasing ginger can be soft and subtle. Not just bold and bright all the time!
