Okay so you are thinking about going short. Good, because I have some things to show you. Short hairstyles for women over 60 are honestly some of the best looks I get to work on as a stylist, and I do not say that lightly. The right cut at this stage of life can feel like a total reset.

Icy White Spiky Textured Pixie
Short and bold, that is what this one is. It is an icy white pixie with the crown styled into these lifted spiky pieces that add height and a lot of personality. The sides are cut close which makes the shape really clean. Fine hair does really well with this kind of cut because the structure does all the work. Really cool look.
Mocha Brown A-Line Bob with Caramel Highlights
This one is so pretty and I could look at it all day. It is a chin-length bob that angles longer in the front, which I love. The color is a deep mocha brown with soft caramel pieces running through it. So much depth without being too much. If you have straight or fine hair this cut is really going to work well for you.
Salt-and-Pepper Rounded Chin-Length Bob
The color here is the whole point and I love that. It is a smooth rounded bob at chin length and the natural salt-and-pepper blend looks almost like it was highlighted on purpose. Cool gray and soft white mixing together. Really elegant and simple. For anyone thinking about letting their gray grow in, I want you to look at this picture a few times.
Sandy Blonde Rounded Bob with Side-Swept Fringe
The fringe on this one is doing so much for the whole look. It is a rounded stacked bob in sandy blonde with a little darker color near the roots for dimension. Really pretty. I think the side sweep of the fringe is what makes it feel soft and modern at the same time. Great for thinner hair because the stacking at the back adds a lot of volume.
Cool Ash Silver Pixie with Side-Swept Fringe
This longer pixie in cool ash silver-blonde is one of my favorites in the whole list. The fringe is long enough to tuck behind the ear or wear forward which is really nice for flexibility. Layers through the top add body without bulk. Really flattering for oval and heart-shaped faces. The ashy cool color is perfect if you are working with natural silver grow-out.
Bright White Feathery Textured Pixie
Soft and sweet is how I would describe this one. It is a short white pixie with feathery layers at the crown that are styled with gentle direction rather than anything stiff. Sits close at the sides and opens up at the top, very flattering shape. The bright white color is completely beautiful and looks very intentional. People are going to ask you who does your hair.
Warm Brown Feathered Layered Bob with Golden Highlights
Okay the layers here are everything. It is a medium brown base with golden and caramel highlights and the layers are feathered out so they flip and move. Really voluminous and full. If your hair has any natural wave a stylist can work with that to get this exact look. I love how it feels a little retro but still totally current.
Auburn Copper Shaggy Bob with Wispy Fringe
That color. Wow. It is this deep red-copper auburn that feels bold but not crazy, and the cut is choppy and layered with wispy fringe just at the brows. Really cool and a little edgy. The texture is very undone and I think that is exactly what makes it so good. Works best on thicker hair that has a lot of natural body.
Soft Lavender Textured Pixie
I am so in love with this one. It is a short pixie with a longer textured top styled with a little lift, and the color is this soft dreamy lavender. Really unique and beautiful. The cool tone of the lavender actually works really well with silver or white hair that is coming in naturally. If you want to do something fun and different this is the one I would pick.
Warm Chestnut Bob with Copper Balayage
This bob is really well done. It is a graduated stacked shape in warm chestnut brown with copper and caramel balayage throughout. The color has this nice warmth that is not too red and not too plain brown. Clean and polished from every angle. Straight or slightly wavy hair is going to look amazing with this cut.
Bright White Sleek Blunt Bob
Pure white hair in a blunt bob is one of the most striking things I have ever seen. No warmth, no yellow, just this clean bright white cut perfectly straight at the chin. I could not stop staring at this one honestly. Middle part, razor straight, very intentional. If your hair has gone white naturally please consider doing something like this with it.
Sandy Blonde Wavy Bob with Soft Curls
This is such a romantic and pretty look. Sandy blonde all over with lighter highlights and these soft natural-looking curls throughout a chin-length bob. The fringe blends right into the shape and it all just flows together. Really lovely. It works best on hair that already has some natural wave or curl because the shape goes with the texture instead of against it.
Dark Brown Layered Bob with Honey Balayage
So much movement in this one. Deep dark brown with warm honey and caramel pieces and the layers are cut to flip slightly at the ends. Really bouncy and full of life. I think the color depth is what makes this so good because it catches the light differently as you move. Medium to thick hair is going to love this cut.

Full and glamorous, that is what this is. It is a chin-length bob in natural salt-and-pepper silver-gray with loose waves that give it a ton of volume. Looks really effortless even though it is stunning. The waves are natural-looking and soft, not stiff at all. If you have naturally wavy or coarse gray hair a cut like this is going to be so good on you.

That dark root contrast is such a cool detail on this one. It is this in-between length, longer than a pixie but shorter than a regular bob, in sandy blonde with the darker roots left in for depth. Understated and beautiful. It is a smooth chin-length layered bob in warm medium brown with soft honey highlights and a wispy fringe that just grazes the brows. Nothing too dramatic, just really well done. I think of this as the kind of haircut that looks expensive every single day without trying. Really simple but really good.
Rose-Tinted Sandy Bob with Choppy Layers
The color on this one is so unique and I keep coming back to it. It is this dusty sandy brown with a soft rosy warmth and lighter blonde pieces mixed in, cut into a choppy bob with piecy ends. Really dreamy. The whole thing looks great even when it is not perfectly styled which is honestly my favorite quality in a haircut. Very effortless and modern.
Pale Platinum Sleek Pixie-Bob with Side Sweep
Pale platinum hair in a sleek pixie-bob is just so chic. The color is almost white but with just a little blonde warmth to it, and the long side-swept fringe gives it softness. Really polished. The back is cut short and clean and everything sweeps to one side beautifully. For fine hair that you want to look put-together fast, this is such a good option.

This one is so natural and so pretty. Yes it takes upkeep to keep platinum looking this good, but the result is honestly editorial-level hair and I think it is worth it.

Fun. That is the first word I think of with this one. It is a short pixie in this warm saturated copper-orange color with a tousled, messy top that has so much personality. Really playful. The color needs some upkeep to stay this vibrant but if you are up for that it is absolutely worth it. This is the cut for someone who wants to stand out and has the confidence to do it.
Champagne Blonde Layered Pixie-Bob with Fringe
The volume in this one is really impressive. It is a layered pixie-bob in warm champagne blonde with slightly darker roots, and the layers stack beautifully to create a ton of body. A side-swept fringe softens everything up and frames the face so well. Really lovely. For fine hair that falls flat this kind of layered structure is a game changer honestly.
Cool Pearl Blonde Tousled Wavy Bob
This one looks like the waves just happened, which is exactly the point. It is a cool pearl blonde wavy bob with soft undone texture and a little bit of tousle throughout. Nothing forced or stiff. Platinum Blonde Short Textured Pixie
Simple and stylish. It is a short platinum pixie with close-cropped sides and a little texture at the top that keeps it from looking too severe. The color is cool platinum, almost white but not quite. Really clean and easy. One of the lowest-maintenance looks in this whole post and also one of the most consistently good-looking ones, which I think says a lot.
